 My
course proposal for an experimental course, "Literature, Democracy &
Dissidence," was scorned and rejected by Tufts University Experimental College.
Indeed, I quickly discovered the Experimental College was hardly experimental at
all.... just another form of business as usual in academe. For a detailed
